Simptomat, t\u00eb cilat shpesh shfaqen n\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00ebrin\u00eb e hershme,p\u00ebrfshijn\u00eb zhvillimin e ngadalsh\u00ebm motorik dhe zmadhimin progresiv t\u00eb kok\u00ebs. Tek f\u00ebmij\u00ebt m\u00eb t\u00eb rritur mund shfaqen simptoma t\u00eb rritjes s\u00eb presionit intrakrania, t\u00eb tilla si nervoziz\u00ebm, t\u00eb vjella dhe ng\u00ebr\u00e7e.Mund t\u00eb shfaqen gjithashtu shenja t\u00eb mosfunksionimit cerebellar, t\u00eb tilla si paq\u00ebndrueshm\u00ebria, mungesa e koordinimit t\u00eb muskujve ose l\u00ebvizjet me nd\u00ebrprerje t\u00eb syve Simptoma t\u00eb tjera p\u00ebrfshijn\u00eb rritjen e perimetrit t\u00eb kok\u00ebs me zgjatje t\u00eb pjes\u00ebs s\u00eb pasme t\u00eb kafk\u00ebs, probleme me nervat q\u00eb kontrollojn\u00eb syt\u00eb, fytyr\u00ebn dhe qaf\u00ebn dhe anomalit\u00eb e frym\u00ebmarrjes. DVM shpesh shoq\u00ebrohet me \u00e7rregullime t\u00eb pjes\u00ebve t\u00eb tjera t\u00eb sistemit nervor qendror, si dhe me keqformime t\u00eb zemr\u00ebs, fytyr\u00ebs, gjymtyr\u00ebve, gisht\u00ebrinjve dhe k\u00ebmb\u00ebve.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shkaqet:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>N\u00eb disa pacient\u00eb jan\u00eb zbuluar anomali kromozomale si nj\u00eb fshirje e kromozomit 3q24.3 (vendndodhja e gjeneve t\u00eb para DVM, t\u00eb njohura si ZIC1 dhe ZIC4). N\u00eb t\u00eb tjera, shkaku i keqformimit \u00ebsht\u00eb n\u00eb faktor\u00ebt gjenetik\u00eb m\u00eb kompleks\u00eb dhe ndoshta mjedisor\u00eb (teratogjen\u00eb), sepse rreziku i p\u00ebrs\u00ebritjes tek v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit dhe motrat \u00ebsht\u00eb m\u00eb pak se 5%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diagnoza:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prenatal mund t\u00eb diagnostikohet me ultratinguj (echo) ose rezonanc\u00eb magnetike t\u00eb fetusit.
